Mock interview with Nikita for the role of Junior Python Developer

This is the candidate’s first interview in this format, and they answer questions on Python, functions, parameters and arguments, lambda functions, the functional approach, OOP, class methods, static and abstract methods, as well as analysing several code examples featuring an asterisk in the function signature.

During the interview, we do not simply test knowledge of terminology, but seek to understand how the candidate thinks, how they respond to follow-up questions, whether they can defend their position, whether they notice contradictions in their own answers, and whether they can adjust their reasoning as the conversation progresses. This format is as close as possible to a real technical interview and helps us assess not only the level of knowledge but also the depth of understanding of the language.

At the end, the candidate receives detailed feedback: what went well, where there are gaps, how confident they appeared, how they performed at a junior level, and what they should focus on in their further preparation. The video will be useful for anyone preparing for a Python developer interview, wanting to better understand what questions might come up, and wishing to practise their own thinking through a real-life analysis.
